The Beach Hebrew Institute Foundation is a separate, nonprofit corporation from the Beach Shul. The Foundation was created in response to the building's designation under the Ontario Heritage Act to assure that the building will remain in good repair. The Foundation solicits, invests, and provides monies for capital maintenance and improvements to the building. Recent projects that benefitted from Foundation monies include a new roof, electrical upgrades, furnace repairs, and a new refrigerator.
A majority of the Foundation Board of Directors are the members of the Shul's Executive Committee. Funds are invested very conservatively in government instruments. Expenditures on capital maintenance and improvements are made only at the expressed request of the Shul Executive Committee.
